The aim of this scholar’s blog is to show the progress of my research on Yezidi lore much more visibly via a presence on the net. This would allow me to become in touch to the members of the Yezidi community directly. Of course, it also serves as convenient platform to keep scholars experts on the literature of Middle Eastern minorities informed on my research and to interact with them, via comments, suggestions for corrections, sim.
The blog will be part of a site that is dedicated to the preservation of the literary heritage of marginalized minorities of the Near and Middle East, with a special emphasis on speakers of an Iranian tongue. This includes, initially, the Yezidi communities in the Kurdish-speaking regions of the Near East & Caucasus, and the Bakhtiari tribe of Iran.
